About ~Our Family's Living Bible~
Please sign in to see more.
Welcome to our “Families Living Bible”.

My name is Kimberley Horn- Fram and I have created this site to help share the past, laughter, hardships, stories and love with other family members. I hope you can contribute to this wonderful site devoted to YOUR family too!

I moved to Tennessee in 1993 from Washington State, leaving behind all of my family on the west coast. Coming from a rather large family- I grew up with many Aunts, Uncles and beloved cousins. My cousins were more like sisters and brothers and my Aunts and Uncles were the next best thing to my Mother and Father. Holidays were all spent at Grandma’s house with all of the kids and family around her to share the love and memories. Because there were so many of us, eating at the preverbal “kids table” was an eagerly awaited treat. I wouldn’t take any amount of money for the treasures I have in the back of my memory and in the deepest parts of my heart.

Unfortunately, my children were brought to a state where they had NO family or friends due to their parents transferring for economic benefits. They have never known what a true “family” consist of other than that of our immediate family. They have never known what it felt like to run out and swing on the old swing-set with 10 different cousins next to them laughing and playing. Or, to have an Aunt drop by the house just to see if they could spend the day with her. Their only Grandmother lives 2,200 miles away and although they have the freedom to call her every day, it’s never going to be the same as having “Family” near you.

So, as a Licensed Paralegal for the State of Tennessee, I decided to give them a “family” to call their own. I started to research my parents and one thing led to another. Working at the beautiful Tennessee Capital, I realized I was right next to the Tennessee Archives Library too. This helped tremendously in my research. Not to mention, it gave me access to most all of the public state records in the nation. As I continued my research you can only imagine how I felt when I found out the children and I were actually living in the middle of our family history. We started to take weekend trips to East Tennessee, Clarksville and South Tennessee to see different farms, grave stones, family Bibles, people, churches and different sites that helped to add to my children's (AND my) sense of “Family” (in a place where we had no family at all).

Slowly things started to happen that I still believe were in the hands of a higher entity. I have met many distant cousins who have opened their arms, homes and memories to me and my children. God helped bring me to a bigger part of my family than I had ever known in my life. He brought me to the HEART of my family. They have all been so gracious with their stories, family Bibles, precious photos and hearts that I had no other choice than to give all of this love back to YOU.

Thus, this site is dedicated to giving back to my wonderful family what God gave to me and my children, the HEART of YOUR/Our family! It is a living Family Bible that will continue to grow as long as all of our cousins continue to give and together- we can keep the heart of our loved ones alive in ALL of our children. All I ask is that if you can add to our family- PLEASE do so for our children's sake, and please sign the guest book with your current email so the Monthly “Family” e-magazine can be sent to you as well.

~Enjoy

ALL my love,

Your cousin.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
